Notes / Gotchas
- The captions are good, but not perfect. Be aware that the captions are not split out by source in any way - they are simply displayed as a stream of words in the order that the AI hears them. In a conversation with only a few people, this works pretty well, but can get messy when there is extra audio.
- Nearby conversations can be partially picked up and muddy the transcription. It may be necessary to stand a little further off if there is another conversation happening close by.
- On a Mac, the display of the captions actually ties into a users' accessibility settings at a system level.
- The positioning and styling of the captions can be highly customized, but this is done through the MacOS system accessibility settings, rather than any settings in NOWHERE or in Chrome .
